Taxonomic Committee

The Taxonomic Committee of SEH deals with the taxonomy and nomenclature of European herpetofauna. Topics include newly described species, resurrections of former synonyms or elevating subspecific names to specific rank, and nomenclatural issues.

The Taxonomic Committee is coordinated by its chair and vice-chair, who are elected by its members and approved by the OGM of the Societas. Co-chairs are internally selected and play a supportive role.
