Conservation Committee

SEH is a member of IUCN - the World Conservation Union.

The SEH Conservation Committee is involved with conservation of herpetofauna throughout Europe and adjacent countries. Results of the Conservation Committee's work have been published in Amphibia-Reptilia, and elsewhere. For further information please contact the Chairman, Dr. Anton Stumpel (see above).

Mapping Committee

The SEH Mapping Committee is involved with projects mapping the distribution of the European herpetofauna. An Atlas with the distribution of all amphibians and reptiles of Europe was published in 1997, and is available from Universal Book Services, Dr. W. Backhuys, P.O. Box 321, 2300 AH Leiden, the Netherlands (e-mail: backhuys@euronet.nl).
